Currently in the studio
I paint with oil and cold wax on linen, working in small runs organized around a single motif until it's exhausted. The series below is the one on the easel right now. New pieces go up as they're finished.
About the work
I've been painting for over a decade, trained in classical technique and now working out of a converted carriage house in the Hudson Valley. My paintings are quiet, considered, and slow to make. I show a handful of finished pieces each season here, along with commissions when the calendar allows.
"Painting is silence that has learned to hold a room."
